6months sitting

my 6month old still isnt sitting up or rolling over. she also doesnt even use her arms to push herself up when you lay her on her stomach.
im used to babies sitting by about 4months and atleast pushing themselfs up.
Any advice to get her sitting up and a little stronger.

Have you tried baby sit-ups? (holding the hands while pulling the baby slowly upright) This helps build upper body strength. As for rolling over, if your baby is reaching- you can lay her on her back with a toy up and to the right of her right shoulder (or left for the other side...whichever you prefer). Shake the toy to let her know it's there and encourage her to get it. She will have to reach with the opposite side of her body, causing the twisting motion needed for rolling over! Just make sure she has to kinda' look over and up for the object to increase the range of reach. She made need help controlling how her legs cross over during the roll at first, but she should get it after a few trys.
For holding body up, I always liked using a boppy. You can lay her chest down on the curved part of the boppy so that her arms hang over and she has to touch the floor or a toy she likes playing with. This will give her support while she learns the upper body motor skills.
For sitting up, try making her legs in a V shape and body and both hands forward to the middle of the V. The hands very close together and flat on the floor in the middle of the V (her legs) will push her up and hold her after she gains the upper body strength I wrote about previously. Hope this helps!
