7 yr old pulled pants down

My son is 7 yrs old and today he decided to pull his pants down at school in the lunchroom. Some of his peers dared him to do this. He is a really smart kid and I'm very upset by this and not sure what to do to help him with the situtation. Please let me know if anybody has any suggestions. I'm so disgusted by this. I hope I'm not overreacting, but I wasn't raised up like this.

Kids in the carpool are his same age and grade level. The 3 times this has happened he told me that his "friends" did it and told him to do it as well. I am worried because the 3 times this has happened has been with different kids and the only common denominator is my son.

That is a good question.  Many times it is because somebody asked/told him to.   I am wondering if there is someone in his carpool (perhaps slightly older kid) who might have put him up to this?  Was this person around when he did it at school?   Ask him if somebody is asking him to do this.  Thats usually the reason.

My 7 year old did it last year 2 times. One at school and one in a carpool. The moms of the other kids weren't happy about it. At school he got a 2 day suspension. He did it again today during PE class and i got a call to meet with the discipline coordinator and the counselor. I suppose he is getting another suspension. I am disgusted by the situation specially because i work at the school. I really got upset today about the news and punished him. His dad is out of town and doesn't know yet. Please somebody help!! Does he have low selfesteem?? Why did he did it??

My 7 year old just did this. He told me he was trying to be funny. The kids parents he did this in front of did not think so, nor do I. I just posted some similar questions about my 7 year old son. I don't know what is going on with him!

My 7 year old did the same thing last year and had two days detention for it.... but he did the same thing last week! He knows it is wrong but seems to think it is funny! He has not said he was dared to do it. This time he has had four days detention.
I am at my wits end!

I think he's just being a 7 year old boy who's tried to impress his buddies who dared him to do it.   Of course you should make it very clear that its inappropriate behavior and let him know if it happens again he will be in trouble.  I wouldn't freak out over it.

Is he ADHD? I know when you have ADHD it is very hard to control your impulses and you do not always think about the conciquences of your actions. Just a thought........
