8-Year old wets pants regularly

by Tinab, Sep 21, 2001 12:00AM
My 8-year old pees her pants sometimes on a daily basis.  It's not a full out bladder loss, but noticable enough to see and smell.  She has since Kindergarten.  I'm at my wits end.

Daytime enuresis at the age of 8 is something to worry about. Is she also wetting during the night, or only during the day? Be sure to have her examined medically, because you'll want to rule out any underlying medical problem, particularly recurrent or intransigent bladder infections or other problems with the genitourinary system. If she'sOK medically, have her use the toilet on a schedule, and establish a reward system to help her be motivated to stay dry.
