8 year old cries a lot

My daughter and 8-year-old granddaughter lived with me for 7 years and moved into their own place about 6 months ago.  For the last several weeks, my granddaughter has been very emotional and cries for me when she's at home and cries for her mom when she's with me.  She says she just misses us and wishes things were the way they were before.  I see her several times a week.  How can we help her?

I expect she wants you all back together agin its seperation anxiety from you both,continue as you are doing and she will get used to it, dont make a big thing of it, and it will pass if she gets upset distract her with activitys ,games and reading ,make a game of it all she now has 2 homes ,thats a good thing. Try to ignore a lot of it it will pass, keep her busy.
