8 yo wetting pants & behavioral concerns

My young daughter (just turned 8), who has lived with her father since age 5, wears a pull-up while sleeping because of bedwetting.   Recently she has started wetting her pants during the day.   It's become almost daily.   She never had this problem prior.  I'm very concerned, because I don't know if this is normal or not.  And, am very concerned about her reactions.   When I've been with her and she wet her pants, I noticed and asked her, and she makes up an obvious story (a fabrication or lie), such as "I sat in some water" or "it's just a stain", and acts seems to not notice she is wet or care.  When I suggested changing into clean/dry clothes, she gets very angry & defiant, even aggressive towards me.  Then she screamed at top of her lungs, slammed door, and stayed in bedroom for awhile.

uhhh id take her to the dr ...... how much do u trust her father??
