It's unlikely that the collection of behaviors you describe can be attributed to ADHD alone. I think it makes sense to have your son's situation reviewed by a child psychiatrist. By doing so you can obtain a second opinion and some additional ideas about medication options for such a young child.

You and your husband are doing the right thing by participating in the counseling. This is absolutely necessary in the treatment of children, because you are your son's most important helpers.
