Abnormal Child Sex Play

Last night my two boys, 5 and 3, were suppose to be getting their pjs on.  I happened to walk by our upstairs hall and saw what I thought was my 5 year old with his 3 year old brother's penis in his mouth.  He immediately stopped when I asked what he was going on.  The 3 year old said that his brother was trying to suck water out of his penis.  I am one that over reacts so I tried to keep as calm as possible.  We had a quick discussion in regards to good touch and bad touch.  I tried to keep it light.  The 3 year old told me that his brother had done this one other time.  I did ask the 5 year old where he got the idea from and he said no where.  It was late so they went to bed.  I am not sure in what direction to go with this issue.  I plan on having another discussion with the 5 year old to see if this had been done to him by someone.  The 5 year old displays no other abnormal behaviors.

Your idea to speak further with your son makes sense, to pursue the possibility that he had some encounter leading to the behavior you witnessed. If your additional inquiry does not result in more information, continue to approach the matter by teaching/limit-setting about suitable types of physical contact. You might avail yourself of some of the readily -available literature designed to help young children deal with this. Your local library likely has something you could use. The larger book stores certainly have plenty from which to choose.

I would certainly sit your 5 year old son down and have a talk with him. He had to have seen it somewhere. Children do NOT just exhibit this behaviour at this age without getting it from somewhere.

If I were you I may even be inclined to speak to the doctor about having a child therapist step in and speak to him, since he may not open up to  you.
