Angry son

My son is 5 years old and he has been having some behavioral problems not only at home but at school.  He walks out of class for no reason and he tears up property.  He also hits his sisters and another student at school.  We have sat down with the school to talk about this.  We have been to his doctor who tells us that he is just a boy.  I keep telling her that his father is bipolar and that is great grandparents also suffered from mental illness along with his grandfather.  I believe that he is bipolar and they keep telling me you can't diagnose that in a child of his age.   His grandmother  tells me that he is a spoiled brat like his dad was at his age and that I need  to show him who the boss is.   What do I do and where do I go for help?  My son needs help NOW!

This discussion is related to 6 yr old odd behaviors and excessive moodiness.
