It sounds like you would benefit from seeking advice of an alternative medicine MD. My son had similar problems, and when I had him seen and tested, the doctor put him on a trial of ArmourArmour thyroid Thyroid (which has T3 and T4T4 test, unlike Synthroid which has only T4T4 test). I can honestly say that my irritable, depressed, innatentive, forgetful and hyperHyper-sal son in a matter of weeks turned into a new child. I kid you NOT. I have hypothyroidism and so does my mother, so the doctor felt it would be worth trying him on this medicine just to see how he did. It really made the difference in his and our lives. Please note that he never showed an elevated TSH. It was normal, however his morning temps were low, much like your kids. Give it a shot, it's worth it.
