It sounds like you would benefit from seeking advice of an alternative medicine MD. My son had similar problems, and when I had him seen and tested, the doctor put him on a trial of Armour Thyroid (which has T3 and T4, unlike Synthroid which has only T4). I can honestly say that my irritable, depressed, innatentive, forgetful and hyper son in a matter of weeks turned into a new child. I kid you NOT. I have hypothyroidism and so does my mother, so the doctor felt it would be worth trying him on this medicine just to see how he did. It really made the difference in his and our lives. Please note that he never showed an elevated TSH. It was normal, however his morning temps were low, much like your kids. Give it a shot, it's worth it.
