Autism and white spots in the brain?

by austin'smom, Mar 03, 2001 12:00AM
My son was recently diagnosed with 47xyy syndrome and he also has syptoms (symptoms) of autism global delay and hypotonia.  A recent MRI was done and there with 2 egg sized white spots on the back of his brain and they are not metabolic related.

Have you heard of 47xyy syndrome ever being related with any or all of these characteristics.

What would be your synopsis on all of these in relation to my 3 year old son.  Is there somethingelse that might cause all of these syptoms (symptoms)?

I'm sorry, I can't comment on your questions. They are not within my area of expertise. I assume you are consulting with a neurologist, endocrinologist, genetics specialist. Are they offering you some guidance?
