Bad behavior

My 12 year old daughter often sleeps with a knife at her beside.
She only likes to talk on the phone to people she doesn't know
Her grades in school are terrible she really seems not to care about anything. I notice a change in her in the 5th grade and it has just gotten worse. She doesn't express her feeling and she never cries. She often talks about stabbing her sister and brother. She walks around all the time singing rap songs I have banned rap music from my house but somehow she still gets a hold of it. I don't let her talk on the phone but she will go to my mom are aunt's house and talk on it. The school says she is not a problem there except she just act like she doesn't care and won't do here work. I will catch her cursing at times. I just don't know what to do. Until she started her cycle she was the prefect child with good grades. Any suggestions.

Dear Ms. Woodards,

Your daughter is displaying symptoms of serious emotional unrest. It would be wise to seek mental health intervention as soon as possible. The situation is already in crisis - any delay will only invite more serious trouble. Speak with her pediatrician or other health care provider about a referral for mental health evaluation.

Is there any way you can get the knife while she is away at school?  I would be scared to death to know that she feels the way she does and has a knife ready by her side.  On the other hand I know anyone can get a knife any time just by going to the grocery store, but I'm sure you must be frightened hearing that she wants to stab her brother and sister!  Hopefully you can get get her evaluated or seen by a professional immediately and that the doctor here can respond soon as they are very helpful.  My thoughts are with you, but I am scared for everyone's sake.

Can you please tell me all the symptoms of ADHD? I have a two year old son that is totally out of control. Some people tell me it's a big possibility he may have it. He is very angry all the time, he cries all the time, throws awful temper tantrums that last sometimes an hour long. He's very mean to his three year old sister, she's very afraid of him. Can you please tell me your opinion?  Oh,and we are seeking professional help now, he's only been to one appointment so far.  The doctor wants him to see a psychiatrist to evaluate him, but has not told me anything else. She will be making home visits to see us. I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd tell me what you think.  Thank you very much.
