Bathroom accidents since Christmas Break

Grandchild in kindergarden (will be 6 in April).  Past two weeks been having accidents at home.  No where else.  Random bathroom accidents.  Need advice on how to handle.  Afraid it may be an issue at school, appears to be afraid to go to the bathroom there.  Been home for break and now back to school, not with siblings and home with parent during the day.  Unsure if having issue with teacher or a bully, says not but could be telling me what it thinks I want to hear.  Child does tell me it hurts to go to bathroom.  So have alerted daughter to take to doctor my be bladder or kidney infection.  How should I advise daughter to handle?

Definatly your daughter should check outi f its a bladder infection with the Doctor first..is this a girl or boy we are talking about? Also ask the school if it lets children , and reminds them to take potty breaks during the day sometimes teachers forget to do this and children dont like to ask, as for anyone at school; being mean.. again a word with the teacher to see if anything like bullying can be happening.Siblings ...if the child has older ones are they kind to the child .does any teasing go on .

A lot of girls hate using the bathroom. My daughter was the same. She used to hold it in until she got home. I took her into the bathroom and taught her how to flush and run. It helped.

She still hates flushing toilets because she is afraid of the toilet overflowing.

Check the bladder infection of course first.

I agree w/the above poster, get her checked for bladder infection, but like you said she might be holding it b/c she is scared of the bathroom.

I can remember in Elem. school not wanting to go b/c hte bathrooms were so old and stinky, the school was built in 1912.
