Biting at Daycare

by M_haley, Jul 01, 2009 11:21AM
My child has been in daycare for seven months now.  she got bit for the first time about a month ago.  now she bites all the time.  she is on the verge on getting kicked out of daycare.  how can i help her understand it is not okay to bite if she never does it at home?  the only time this happens is at daycare!  we have play dates all the time, but she gets along with the kids perfectly then. please help me with advice of how to stop my child from biting other children at daycare.

I am sorry this post didnt get answered it must have slipped past ..are you sure she is the only one biting especially as she doesnt do it anywhere else, ask the teacher , you did say she was bitten a month ago so has that child stopped biting? I have a feeling that more are doing it and she is copying ,the school should know what is going on..Good Luck
