Brother-in-law in need of help

My boyfriend's brother is out of control. HIs name is james and is 15 years old. Just recently his girlfriend broke up with him. He has had several girlfriends but the girl never broke up with him before. He wrote a note to his girlfriend and she turned it in to the school stating that he was going to kill himself. The school went into his locker and found a journal counting down the days that he was going to kill himself so the admitted him to sucide watch for 3 days. Ever since he came out everyone keeps buying him everything he wants and now his attitude has changed. Now when he wants to go out with his friends he dosen't even ask his mom. And when his mom says no, he says "i'm suddenly thinking about sucide" as an excuse. My boyfriend's mom called me and was very upset so called him to see what is going on. I told him to just relax and maybe just concentrate on school instead of girls and even learn to respect others for a change. He disrespects everyone and for the first time, he disrespected me.  What should we do next? He is seeing a psych md but nothing seems to be working.

Today, he threw a fit because his mom disconnected his cell phone and took away his computer so he thew the fit again. "imma run away from home" ****. The got into a big fight and she gave in again. My boyfriend's mom gave him his computer, cell and let him go out with his friends again. I mean his mom works two jobs and we can't afford military school. This is getting way out of control. The dad is not in the picture because he commited sucide, his mom and aunt are bipolar. I mean i can't tell her how to take care of her kid. What more can I do?

there are group homes out there, my brother went to a few, not saying it is the greatest step but if he is that out of control, for his own safety it may be a good idea. he will be 18 in three years and i would hate to hear about a other child going to jail because they cant handle being in society.

my brother is now19, he has been in and out of mental hospital and group homes since he was 7. he has stabbed someone, stealing 4 wheelers, drugs, ect. right now he has been in jail sents august, he is facing 45 years for breaking and enter, stealing a hand gun ect. he has had 3 kids in the past 2 years by 3 different people, and he had only seen one of them 2 times, they are 2, 7months, and 2 months. it is sad but i dont think my brother will ever change, but dont get me wrong he is still my brother and i love him. And the crazy thing about this jail thing is, the girl that turned him in he is getting ready to marry {in jail} lol what a dumb ***.

hopefully it will work out alot better with your boyfriends brother, then what happened to my brother, best wishes.

thank you so much for your opinion. I will defanitly concider that option. I am sorry to hear about your brother but I am glad that you love him. I will love my boyfriend's brother regardless where life leads him but at least i have options I can try before I can actually say "i give up" which wont be for a long while.
