Can kids see ghost/spirits?

I have a picture of my husbands father on our wall he passed away 9 years ago. My daughter is 9 months old so she never got the chance to meet him. The past few days i noticed her lookin up at the wall at the picture she smiles and waves at him i found this rather creepy lol. So i picked her up at showed her the picture she started laughing at him and pointin and saying pa ... is it possible that she sences him? I heard that kids can see ghost i still dont no if i believe in that stuff or not lol but when this happened i was in shock she has never noticed the picture before to wave at him. And she hasnt met him so its strange that shes sayin pa .. so is it possible that hes here?..maybe?

My sister is now 7 but my great grandma died in 2001 and no one really talks about her because it's just upsetting and a few years ago my little sister walked up to my grandma and told her that "nana said she's gonna kick your *** when you get to heaven" I am the only one that called her nana. So it was pretty crazy and my sister use to cry until my mom took her to the cemetery to talk to our aunts and uncles who have been gone for quite some time.

I read a book about how toddlers 1,2,3 years old
talked about being in heaven with their grandparents or brothers/ sisters that had passed away.it was just like u mentioned, they didnt know that person but they remember being with them in heaven. It was very interesting.
