Can a person get well from conversion disorder by their self? If so, how do we go about it, please?

Can you explain to me what that is

Have you ever seen the movie Tommy?  The rock opera?  Tommy had conversion disorder.  That's the simplest explanation I can give, since it's a rather complicated disorder.  There are lots of pages on the web about it.  I don't want to print a bunch of long, drawn out descriptions as they go into minute detail about all aspects of it.  Wikipedia has a good description of it.

Conversion disorder, as you know, is quite complicated.  It is often mistaken for fictitious disorder and vise versa, the difference being that with fictitious disorder, the patient is intentionally faking the illness, symptom, etc.   So, the question of if someone can get well on their own from this disorder is a rather loaded question.  I would suppose it's possible...people can recover from all sorts of psychiatric conditions with little or nor help...however i think it's rare to do so.

Therapy is a good place to start.
