Child with self control issues

My friend has a 5 year old daughter who I believe had ADD. She is an only child and her parents are divorced. SHe seems to enjoy causeing conflict, seems to enjoy being rude to others,and can sit still unless she is asleep. She has no trouble going number @ if you know what I mean... But has urinary accidents on a regular basis. HELP!

When the parents are divorced it affects the child.  The child can have all sorts of behavioral problems and it is really tough especially in the younger years.  I know first hand as we are a blended family.  I have a daughter from a first marriage, my husband has two daughters from his first marriage and we have one daughter together.  The behavior at times when the children were young was unbelievable.  Being rude, causing conflict and not sitting still is most likely due to her adjusting with the divorce.  Going back and forth between parents is extremely hard on young children.  Urinary accidents is all part of it, though she should be seen by the doctor to rule out any bladder problems.  When she's rude, it has to be addressed. Say "You are being rude and that is not nice".  Not sitting still is common with children.  That's probably where the game "Ants in the pants" came from, because kids act like they have the ants in their pants moving around all the time.  Wish I had their energy!  Give your friend all your support, because it is really hard raising children after a divorce.
