Children & retaining Information

I Have a four year old son and he is very bright he says the smartest suff, he has no behaviour problems, and remembers everything thing except when doing school work, he knows his alphabet and can sing and say it to u but if u show his say the letter "B" and the sound it makes in minutes if u ask his wat letter he's reading he's unable to say. I know it frustrates him but it's frightening me , What could it be? and what can i do to help him.

You needn't do anything. He's only four years old. Associating sounds with letters is a skill that takes time to develop. That is why reading is a skill that children begin to master in the first grade. Your expectations are not in line with his development. There is nothing wrong.
