I noticed a lot of posts from parents that don't know what to do about their child biting other children at Daycare. My child gets bit on occasion at his dc and it is very frustrating - I want to know what these parents are doing at home to cause their child to do this. I was afraid that my child was going to become a biter since he was being bit. Yet, he will be three in July and never displayed this behavior. Some parents said that they biteAnimal bite Animal bite - first aid - series Animal bites Brown recluse spider bite on the hand Chigger bite - close-up of blisters Flea bite - close-up Frostbite Frostbite - hands Human bites Inhibited sexual desire Insect bite reaction - close-up their child back - this won't work people - I was surprised to see that only one other person said not to do this. I think the biter needs more of their basic needs met - they need a lot of sleep and they need to be taught ways to communicate. If they can't speak very well yet, they need to be taught some sign language. Just pick a universal sign they can use to show they want something or need help with something. I taught my son the sign for help when he was 16 months old because he would start screaming and cryingColic and crying Crying in infancy when he would get frustrated with a toy. The signing quickly put an end to the screaming in frustration. Also quality time with mom and dad when they are not biting will help tons!!! Reading to them for 20 to 30 minutes every night is very healthy before bed time. Giving them words of affirmation when they are not biting and when they are being overall sweet.
