Compulsive lieing 5 year old, Please help!

I have lived here with my boyfriend and his daughter, now 5 years old, for 2 years. Ever since she started school (in August) she has been lieing and stealing from me. She will not lie to Daddy or take from him, but she takes my purse, searches my jacket pockets and takes what she likes. Problem is she is FIVE! Is this really normal?

She was taking my things when I first moved here, now she is on to compulsive lieing. Again, she will not lie to daddy, but she seem to not be able to help it. I have told her how much she is hurting me and she doesn't seem to care, no crying no I'm sorry when in the past and she was confronted she was sincerely sorry. Almost makes me feel like she doesn't want me here. We have done the "Nanny Chart" and all sorts of praises for when she does something right like owns up to a lie or returns what she takes, she literally gets a cookie.

A certain someone, has not been in her life for about 8 months and to be honest, she was GREAT! Wonderful little girl, well behaved, never getting into mischief etc.. then she starts seeing (insert someone) again and we are back to square one. I am really at my wits end, I have extinguished all reserve patients with this and have absolutely had enough. Any advice to try would be greatly appreciated.

What does she lie about ?/'compulsive lying' about what ?It could be she is missing her mom and maybe if it is possible she would be better off back with her Mom ....
