Crying and Trust

I have a 4.5 year old son who always needs to have his way and if we say no to him he right away starts to cry and falls to the floor and stomps his feet like he is 2 again. We have tried to ignore the crying and assure him that we will talk to him only when he has calmed down, but that doesn't seem to work. He also seems to have trouble trusting us (parents) when we try to teach him how to swim or ride his bike without training wheels, we try EVERYTHING. Please help us figure out what we can do.

You are right when you ignore his Temper, dont even say anything let him do it, go away somewhere,he will get fed up if you are not feeding in to it.Kids are often afrid to start to swim and ride a bike its not urgent id it if he doesnt want to why does that matter? Let it go for a while and dont make an issue of it.
