You should seek help for both yourself and your daughter. You are reacting to her behavior in an emotional way, and that will only serve to worsen the situation. Sound behavior management requires that parents maintain a sense of equanimity. We become upset when our children lose emotional control, and yet we ourselves do the same thing far too often. We're adults - there's really no excuse for it, even when we try to justify our upset as a reasonable response to our children's misbehavior. Seek some counseling and you'll welcome the support. Parenting can be a lonely job if you don't have personal supports for yourself.
