Developmentally appropriate attention span

Developmentally appropriate attention span

Fifth graders this year will take two Meap tests back to back with less than a 10 min break.  Total test time is 2 hours.
Is this developmentally appropriate to expect 10 and 11 year olds to sit still and pay attention this long?

It is not an unreasonable expectation. It would be better if the interval between the two tests were longer, no doubt. But your average fifth grader can handle it, nonetheless.
