I have a child in my care (a 15 year old) who takes Dexadrine tablets every morning.  It can be a problem getting him to take the pills every day and therefore sometimes ends up not taking them consistantly.  Would this make him have symptoms of the ADHD every day?  In other words does there need to be a constant  level of the drug in his system all the time for it to work at all?

My name is chris i have just turned 20 this jan; i have been on dex from age 12 to 17 stopped maybe for 4 months at a time. rittlin was what i was on from grad 1 up.

i have done countless bottles like 200 15mg in a span 3 and high for days after insuman.it has made me a very shy person lost countlesss numbers of sleep. please if your child is on this drug i would not let him or her take it past the age of 14 get him into things that after school will take his mind off the bad things  or things that may cause it ; a girl freind or boy freind of good intencion is a wonderful drug exchange.i beleive that by taking this drug u r in essentes let your childes mind become more in a hightin state ie; parentes u child is older while on this drug take that away and what do u think u have a scareed little boy or girl teach your little boy @ gril becuase
the drug will not fill in that part for u.this is not normal becuase this drug creates a false utopa in the mind only when u have the . the older u get the drug becomes his worst eminene.
they will listen on the drug if u tell them ; but will they rember when they no longer have the drug to highten all the sences in the brian. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO E MAIL ME ON QUESTIONS

i know several parents with children on medications such as adderall and ridilin and other such medications for ADHD and I just wanted to know are these medications acctually just speed?

No, each administration of the medication stands on its own and is generally metabolized over a span of three-four hours. The medication does not dpend on a costant blood level. Nonetheless, it is very much preferable that the medication be taken according to the recommended schedule.
