Disturbed

As a preschool teacher I don't know when I should consult the parents about disturbing statements such as today a four year old girl told me that she wants to, "set Ms.Candace on fire and burn her house down". I asked her why she would say something like that and she just shrugged her shoulders and said,"I don't know".

I would just tell the parents what she said when they come to pick her up. Do you guys have a daily sheet that you send home explaining what they did during the day (my son's daycare sends those home)? Maybe even write it down on that...

As a parent and as someone who works in the school system, I would definitely want my son's teacher to let me know if he said something like that. Don't make it confrontational...just bring it up casually and see where it goes from there...

Mention it to the parents when they come.  They should be interested in finding out where she got that kind of talk from (t.v. or someone) and teaching her about whats appropriate and whats not

I agree with telling the parents.  Documentation is critical.  If there is a counselor on your campus, you may wish to let him/her know as well.  I have a 2nd grade student who says disturbing things like this as well.
Good luck and God Bless.
