Our son sounds like he could be your son's twin! I am VERY interested to hear how this issue worked out........what methods worked for you? The only thing our son seems to respond to is being isolated - he hates not being with us (like being sent to his room) but this is only an immediate and short term discipline - I can't make him stay in his room indefinitely! He such a good kid, and VERY intelligent for his age - how do I discipline him for something that I'm not actually seeing him do? He's great at home - no issues, but once he gets to school all bet are off! I find myself projecting on to his teacher because in all the times that I've visited her class to help out with anything, she doesn't seem to have control of the kids - and her room is in total chaos! Messy and totally disorganized, but I keep telling myself to cut her some slack, not everyone is organized. Help!
