Explosive Temper

What can cause a very loving child to turn into an uncontrollable 40 pound fire ball with no warning?
He was delayed in speech, because all he had to do was point or cry. Do we need to seek professional help for him?

This discussion is related to 6 year old and rage.

I wouldn't assume he was delayed in speech because all he had to do was point and cry,  nana.  Usually,  the way it works is all they can do is point and cry,  because they are delayed in speech.  Outsiders to the parents will often say (to them and behind their backs) that if they'd just refuse to give the child what they wanted until the child uses the word, all would be perfect.

Children aren't lazy with language,  in fact,  are eager to use words.  When there is a delay it isn't because they'd rather cry in frustration than use a word.  It's because they can't do it yet.

The explosive rage can be caused by a bunch of stuff - blood sugar problems should be ruled out first.

best wishes.
