Eye blinking

My child is 4 1/2 yrs old and has started excessive eye blinking. I'm concerned.

I saw a child of about 12 years old the other day repeatedly pulling her tongue out and kept doing it till the Young er child of about 16months in a stroller, was copying her, My question is has anyone been showing him how to blink a lot? If you think its eye related and not a habit take him to the Doc and ask him to look and evaluate.

no, he actually started about a week ago and I can see he's not doing it intentially nor is he complaining but it's ovious that he needs to be seen by a doctor and I have an appt scheduled for him Tuesday. I'm just concerned it could be Tourettes. thanks for your coment.
