Fear of Rain and Winds

My son who is around 3.2 yrs  has a constant fear of winds and rains .This fear comes from the fact that a couple of days back our window broke due to heavy rains and winds. And one of the glasses from the window fell on my wife's leg leaving a deep cut with blood oozing out. He was an audience to all these events and from that day on he has manifested the fear of winds.
Now with the slighest of winds he gets scared making him un easy and cranky. Please suggest how we can get him overcome this fear.

Thanks
Sandeep
