Fear of Robbers

My six year old daughter is having a hard time sleeping.  She is deathly afraid that a roobber is going to break in and steal out belongings.  She has been told by several people that this is not going to happen.  We live in a new house in a very nice neighborhood.  She heard someone overtalking about a recent holiday break-in.  She seems to be getting a little bit better with her daily activities as thios came up a week ago.  She still does not want to go to bed and seems to be very clingy.  Please help.  I have email-ed her school counselor asking for advice.  I need other advice as well.
