Febrile seizures/epilepsy

My 2 yr old step-son has had 20+ seizures in his lifetime. He has been diagnosed with Febrile Seizures. His last seizure was accopmpanied with only a 100.3 temp. His seizures are grand-mal and usually has many before disappearing. He also has a half brother that is 9 that has seizures constantly, he also has been diagnosed with Febrile Seizures. Febrile seizures run in their mother's family. When should there be concewrn that these may be more than just Febrile Seizures? The mother does not seek medical attention even if my step son has seizures for a whole week on and off. Is this dangerous?

Your stepson definitely should be followed medically. His mother is not responding in a responsible fashion.
