Fecal Matter

by Wendy Joy, Aug 27, 2000 12:00AM
My mother in law informed me that 2 of our cousins ( brothers ) are smearing their feces on things.  They are 10 and 12!  I know their mother is not normal but what could this be an indication of?

Dear Ms. Joy,

Smearing of feces, particularly in children of this age, is always regarded as a sign of serious emotional disturbance. The boys (and their family) should receive professional intervention ASAP.
