Four year olds Mood swings & tantrums

I have a four year old boy who has recently started showing mood swings & seems to be tired all the time.
One minute he is going about normal everyday routine & the next for no reason he flips & shouts "I want to be a good boy" & screams & shouts at everybody. We have tried time out & ignoring the bad behaviour & praising the good but
it's getting worse he seems to be controlling the whole family. We have another son who is eight & it seems to be upsetting him as well now. I am worried as he is quite shy with other children & they are sometimes frightened of him
because he will say I don,t want to play. He never hits all bites just seems to be a sad little boy. We  spend lots of time talking & playing but it seems when he wants to throw a mood swing he runs off and we think here we go again.

I think you should take him to your doctor for an evaluation -- especially because you mention he seems tired all the time. This, combined with the behavior change, warrants a medical evaluation.
