Grandparents

When I take my 61/2 year old son to his grandparents house he wants to sleep in bed with them, mostly because they ask him who does he want to sleep with. my parents sleep in separate rooms and were supposed to set up a room specifically for my son at their house but have yet to do so. I am thinking of purchasing an inflatable mattress so he can have his own bed and stay in the room with me. We go over to their house quite often and I do not think he should be sleeping in bed with either of them especially since he sleeps in his own bed at home. Is it normal, healthy and okay for him to be allowed to do this or should I put my foot down and tell them he cant sleep with them anymore?

While this sleeping arrangement at the grandparents' home is not ideal, it is not a cause for alarm. Having said that, it would be better if he had his own bed while at their home. An additional difficulty with the situation is their asking him with whom he would like to sleep. That is not a good idea and puts him in the posiiton of having to choose between his grandparents. He would be better off having his own bed.
