HELP with my 2yr. old???

Hi, I have a 2yr old, soon to be 3 in November. My son has always rocked back and fourth since I can remember. Even now he still rocks in his bed and I wake every night to lay him down or else he will sleep hunched over. We were told that he rocks to comfort himself. He has a speech delay, for which he has a speech therapist, who is suppose to be helping, but actually bores him. Because he can not verbally explain himself he screams at the top of his voice when he doesn't get his way, it was so bad one Sat. that my neighbor called the police complaining of a disturbance. I was so embarassed! He has now started lining things up on his Dad's nightstand when ever we are not looking. He is very intelligent and can comprehend well. BUT, my MOMMY insticts tell me something isn't right. PLEASE HELP! I have mentioned all of the above to his ped., who keeps telling me nothing is wrong. He is so different from his older brother.

You might check into Autism, it sounds similar to alot of the symptoms I have seen on the subject.

i agree with the comfort thing i was the same way when i was a baby i apparently always slept with my pillow other my head and i remember doing it until i was about 14 , my daughter also likes to line things up shell take bricks toys and line or stack them up and do it over and over again but i know she doesnt have autism the doctor says shes a very bright normal girl, i wouldnt worry about it and id just ask your doctor, i dont see autism in what you described at all
