Help! Toddler has behavioral change after high fever/roseola.

My toddler has not been the same after his fever (103/104) broke.  He had a rash from roseola and then was not the same boy.  He started having tantrums out of nowhere, hitting, pinching, screaming out of nowhere.  Nothing like how he is normally.  Doctor said it was normal and his brain needs to adjust back to normal.  Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this and how long it took to get resolved?? Scared Mommy!!

Check for PANDAS (paediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcal Infections) it can happen after roseola

Wow I have never heard of that. My son, who is now 22, had roseola at about 2 and had EXTREMELY high fever (107.2) accompanied by febrile seizures. His demeanor changed afterward. He was like that for the next 3-4 years and ultimately ended up being put on ADHD meds. Makes me wonder now if we did the right thing??
