I dont wake and eat them but I do fantasize about sweets daily! The only thing that will help is to make dessert a part of your dinner plans every night. That way sweets dont feel like the ultimate no-no or like a prize to children or to anybody for that matter. I give my family something sweet every night after dinner if they want it. Ice cream, a cookie, a little debbie cake or something like that.
It sounds like a chocolate addiction to me....my daughter is the same way and has been for a good few years now, although she is getting better....She would do the same thing....wake up early, steal chocolate and hide the wrappers everywhere....Id clean up and they'd be in the heater vents, under her bed, under her dresser, behind the entertainment center, but she never threw them in the garbge...weird hey? I can't really explain it....she steals chocolate still to this day but like I said she's getting better and better.....My only piece of advice to your post would be not to ban them from stuff like treats and buiscuts completely even though they steal it because then they'll just get worse or maybe by removing every bit of junk from your house so he doesn't have access to it and keep your money somewheres safe and out of reach.....hope this helps!
