Inappropriate sexual behavior between 4 and 5 year old
Two friends of mine's 4 and 5 year old sons were caught behind a bookcase "touching wee-wees" at daycare. When the 4 year old was asked about the situation separately he admitted to sucking wee-wees with the other boy and licking butts. When asked where he learned to do such things he said the 5 year old's uncle showed the 5 year old and told him it was like sucking your thumb. He admitted they had done such things 5-6 different times.
The 5 year old boy also had an incident with another boy when he was 3 where he had his pants down at nap time and another 4 year old boy bit his penis. It wasn't clear how it happened because it was not seen by an adult. The pediatricians got involved and both said it was normal.
The mother admitted that the 5 year old had walked in on the Uncle once watching a porn video. I pushed to have the 5 year old checked out for abuse and he was again taken to a pediatrician. The pediatrician and the parents seem to think the boy has not been abused and his behavior is normal. But I still have my doubts. Is this normal? And what effect is this going to have on the 4 year old boy exposed to this behavior?

No, the behavior is not normal and does not occur spontaneously to children. Now, whether or not the uncle in fact behaved in the manner that was reported needs to be determined. But the fact that his name surfaced in the questioning about the episode invites serious concern. The pediatrician should not have been so reassuring.
You need to call child services, NOW. These stupid pediatricians. I don't know why the stupid woman felt she needed the okay from the doc. The child said they learned the behavior from their uncle. What they said sounds like sexual abuse to me. They need therapy, and the uncle needs to get behind bars, ASAP. Actually, if the daycare did not report this there could be very serious consequences.
