Is This Normal

My grandson whom I have raised for most of his 5years was recently taken from me by his mother.  He has been experiencing problems in daycare, began wetting his pants and pooping on himself, something he has not done since he was 3 years of age.  I do not think this is normal behavior, but my daughter seems to think it is part of his adjusting, but I think he has some emotional problems as a result of being separated from me.  I am not able to see him because they live 600 miles away.  Please help me help my grandson.

Sorry kay, but I'm a single MAN and I take better care of my boys then most mothers these days$ anyway, it is normal, if he is stressed out. He is probably having trouble being away from u. Can u call and talk to him as much as u want? Maybe send him pictures of u and write him. Your daughter could do the same. Give him something special next time u see him and tell him whenever he's sad he can look at it or whatever. I'm sorry he was taken from u, I hope everything gets better soon. Good luck

may i ask why you are bringing up your grandson and not his mother?
the pooping and wetting his pants will be down to the stress and tension, doesnt mean hes unhappy,
why did his mother take him from you?

i dont agree if a mother goes away for a break for a few weeks she shouldnt have her kid back, no i think she should because the stress we go through through the preganacy, the birth then WE THE WOMAN brings them up men dont know theyre born!!

if she has had him taken because of neglect then its down to the law to sort out the problem, it doesnt mean his mother should never see him again just because shes had a bad patch unless shes left you to do the hard work and its easier now to look after him at 5

Oh, that's so sad!  Get an attorney and fight for this boy!  I'm sure he misses you, and she just drops in and takes him away from all that is familair to him?  You can't do this to children!  Why did you have him?  If it was abuse or neglect you may be able to get him back. Call where she lives and speak to someone at CPS and have them do an evaluation on the situation and make sure they know you want him.  Then get an attorney and find out what rights you have.  When I was in classes to become a Foster Parent, we were told that if a mother abandons her kids and comes back years later, they have to let her have them back!  I asked "isn't this neglect to just walk away?" They said it's the law. This is not fair to you and most of all your grandson.  I hope you can work this out!  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your grandson.
