Is there a light at the end of the tunnel????????????

Is there a light at the end of the tunnel????????????

Were you ever able to find a "cure" or treatment for this????? My 5 year old son has this same problem.  He has recently been diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) but aside from strict behavior modification no one has any idea how to treat it.  We are at a complete loss.  We did make a breakthrough this past weekend where he finally admitted that he is pooping on purpose when he is upset.  Example - if during playtime a child does not share a toy with him, or does not play the way he wants.  Or, if he is asked to complete a task that he does not want to complete.  He actually threatened his Kindergarten teacher the other day by telling her in the morning that if he did not win a prize at the raffle that afternoon that he would poop his pants.  Later that day when he did not win, he pooped.  He will also urinate as well if he is extremely agitated.  It has completely taken control of our lives and I am at a complete loss.  He has a problem with violence as well.  When he doesn't think anyone is looking he will through things at my dog and cat.  The cat is luckily smart enough to run like heck from him, but the dog is a little too loyal.  He is a miniature dachshund so I have to keep my dog with me at all times because my son will punch him, headbutt him, kick him, etc.   He will get violent with other children and teachers when he does not get his way.  When he was in daycare he was assaulting children on a daily basis when he didnt get what he wanted.  He even picked up a chair and threw it across the room, and then ran over and punched an infant, all because he had been told to pick up his toys.  He was put on Risperdal which worked for a while, but every couple of months we have to increase the dose or it wears off.  He will also hurt himself when upset.  He will bang his head off of hard objects, throw himself to the floor, and have an all out tantrum.  He knows how to pull strings as well.  He will fake cry (and extremely well) around people that he knows will coddle him.  And then afterwards he will laugh about it.  To him, this  is a game, and he gets some sick satisfaction out of it.  I am 8 months pregnant now and he stood up in his classroom the other day and said that he hates his baby brother and wants to hurt him.  He always follows through on his threats and I am extremely worried about the safety of my new child.  We have tried EVERYTHING and completely exasperated, so I am just trying to find anyone who may have suggestions!

Have you given him fish oil, or evening primrose oil?  Have you taken him to a behavioral therapist?  Have you gotten him a PCA?  If not I would try all of these things.
