Is this normal?

My son is 3 years old.His father is in the picture,and gets to see him for two days every week. My son always tells me that he dosen't want to go but I have no choice but to send him. When my son comes back he is angry towards me and hits me. It makes me upset especially when it is infront of his father. It makes me wonder what goes on at his fathers house. His father is a controlling person and was abusive that is why I left him. I would like to know why my son is acting this way?

I can see why you would be concerned especially as your ex was abusive, have you asked your son questions ,like did you have a good time at Daddys house, what did you do there, did you play games and have fun,is there a stepmom there, As he doesnt want to go and when he comes home is displaying hostility to you for sending him, could he hear negative talk about you when he is there.As your ex was abusive and your son doesnt want to go you could check out if you have to send him, perhaps let him see him in the daytime ,not stay over, I think it is important you get answers to this for your sons sake,I would not send my child anywhere he didnt want to go ...
