Jayden's behavior is terrible

Last year my six year old daughter was diagnosed with ADHD. She is NOT on any medication. I was wondering why she is so emotional. If I ask her to do a simple task like pick up her dirty laundry off of the floor she cries. Bottom line she cries more than a baby does. I don't know what to do. I realize that children's emotions are something like 6 times stronger than an adults but this is getting rediculous. I don't give into her when she cries either so I think that if it was a manipulation tactic she would've realized by now that crying doesn't get her anywhere. Is this a symmptom of ADHD and should I put her on meds? Thank You for all of your help!

How about you try a supplement first,a Multiple vitamin-mineral supplement with antioxidants B Complex and Vit C Fish oil is good aswell,is she your only child I ask this as sometimes there are jealousy issues if there is a Baby in the house, when you ask her to pick up her dirty clothes perhapsa good idea would be to give her time to do it, say to her that as long as she does it in the next hour so she can watch her favorite programme on TV or before she reads a favorite book, Children dont deal too well with Immediency, when she crys let her,  if it gets her no attention it may stop,

Crying and frequent outbursts is a symptom of ADHD.  The problem here,  is that if you put her on meds,  the cycling ups and downs and on and off of the meds during the day would possibly make her moodiness worse.

How is she at school?  Can she control her outbursts?   If she is doing fairly well at school - has at least a few friends,  is keeping up with academics,  etc., I think I wouldn't choose to medicate.

Best wishes.  It's really hard to know what to do.
