Dear Ms. Guthrie,

It's OK to start your daughter on whole milk. Generally, infants can be on whole milk starting around six months of age.

All the childrens info that I have read says children should not start on whole milk until they are 1 year of age.  Whole milk does not provide adiquate nutrition for babies.  They should continue to drink formula or breast milk if you are nursing.  You can get a free subscription to Baby Talk, American Baby, Parenting, Parents, Gerber, Similac, Carnation, Enfamil, and several other magizines and brosures.  These magazines can usually be found at your OB/GYN's office.  They have post cards in them to send for free subscriptions.
