Measurements of Depression for Children and Adolescents with Chronic Illness

I am a researcher in a Ph.D. program.  Which scales are considered most reliable in diagnosing depression in latency aged children and adolescents who suffer from chronic illness.

You might take a look at the Children's Depression Inventory, developed by Marcia Kovacs. Also, in an interview format of data collection, the depression sub-scale of the Diagnostic Interview Schedule for Children is useful in its correspondence with DSM-IV criteria.
