My Son Is On Adderall(adderrall) 5 Mg

I want to take my Son off the Adderall (adderrall) he has been on it sence may is there a away to do this with out messing my son up , I have read all of the side affacts and it scares me so bad my son is 9 years old and he is very tiny for his age hes only 45 pounds and he is not a good eater at all please let me know what i can do to take him off this med.
