sounds like she is in good hands! good luck!
.So perhaps the meds he has given her will help her feel more comfortable, hope she is feeling better soon ....
well we are finally home from the doctors office, the doctor has put her on some meds and if she does not show any improvment with a week she has to go to the hospital for lab work. so far the doctor thinks she has developed ulcers in her stomach/digestive track. recently docs have found out that ulcers are not caused by stress but they are actually caused from baterial infections.
It may be what is known as a grumbling appendix when it is in the early stages, appendicitis is when she would get more in the way of Nausea, fever. The visit to the Doctor should get some answers for you, let us know how she is doing ...
honestly i am at a loss i have no idea. i dont believe lactose is the issues, she has milk all the time and it never bothers her. she does have a doctors appointment for the morning sp hopefully they can give me answers. she keeps saying its her right side by her belly button, but she has no symtoms of it being her appendix...like i said both me and her father are completely at a loss
people can develop lactose intolerance at any age. I developed it at 18. It may be something like that. Mild lactose intolerance may result in cramping but not necessarily diarrhea.
Another thought would be anxiety. Is it possible she is anxious about homework, school, bedtime, or anything else?
I would definitely take her to the doctor. There are lots of things that can cause stomach pains, including just plain old stress. I wouldn't ignore it for any reason though. I hope she feels better soon!
You know her best - what is your sense about this? My inclination is to believe her, except if she's the kind of child who latches on to any reason to get extra attention, or is constantly complaining of aches and pains, but I don't sense that from your post.
I am interested in your statement that you "can't tell if she's faking". That does make me concerned that you suspect - by her personality - that she's going for attention.
If you don't have anything to base this doubt on, I'd believe her.
Best wishes. I hope you solve this mystery.
thats what gets me, she has no other symptoms, she is able to use the bathroom everyday and eats perfectly fine with no complaints at breakfast, lunch, and after school snacks at home. im going to make her an appointment tomorrow morning. it just baffles me, why is it only after dinner when any other time she eats she is perfectly fine? i have tried making earlier dinners, ive tried later dinners, ive tried making very bland food, lowering her portions...im at a loss...
I would believe her that she does have a stomach pain and definately take her to the Doctor for a check up, what part of her stomach is hurting, is she constipated, or have any other symptoms ?
