My daughter is having problems with me leaving when I take her to Kindergaten

My doughter started school on August 5. She goes to a year round school. I had her enrolled in preschool and she went just fine, we had no problems. Now that she is in Kindergaten she hold on to me and cries and begs me not to go. Her older sister goes to the same school, she askes if she can go to her class. I try to tell her, her older sister is in 4th gradebecause she is 9.That she is 5 so she goes to Kindergarten. I have tried "The Kissing Hand" by Audrey Penn, that works for about two days!! She is off trake now and I want to figure out something before she goes back on to make it easier for her. Any advise would be great!!!

You are dealing with separation anxiety and I doubt if this will "cure itself" in the next week or so.  Be patient - it will get better.  Try googling the words "school anxiety" or separation anxiety" or "easing school jitters" or similar phrases to find information about how to best help your daughter.  Since her older sister also attends that school, could the sister meet her a couple of times during the day to help the younger child feel more safe?  Ask the teacher if this could be arranged.  I wish you the best ...
