My friends cry for help

My friend, who is also a single mom, called me the other day in tears. She explained to me that she just found out that her 7yr old had been touching his 2yr old brother while they were showering. The 2yr old didn't seem phased but becuase she was molested when she was younger, she grabbed her baby and ran to call me. Now mind that she usually has the boys take seperate showers/ baths but she just felt it would speed up that time of night with the occasion of bathing them at the same time. She doesn't know how long it has been going on for she just got back from deployment with the navy and she doesn't feel that she could ever trust her older son around his little brother ever again. Is this normal for children around 7 or does she need to find profesional help for him.

I would say mostly it is normal curiosity behavior, it would be better if your friend didnt leave the 2 year old one in the shower with anyone or by himself he needs supervision.,and if she was molested as even a younger child than 2year old how did that happen if an adult was presant. As your friend  was in the Navy I guess someone had been looking after the Children for her, was th 7yearold left alone with someone else also, maybe she has to find out more .Certainly more supervision is called for of both of them.
