My girls cries all the time

I have a 5 year old girl, she seem to get frustrated all the time because of the smallest things, she tends to cry a lot and yell, I've tried several things to improve her behavior but nothing seems to work. If a friend doesn't want to play with her, she'll cry. If she can't eat something at a certain time, she'll cry. I've tried with time out, but she cries even more!

I have the exact same problem.  My daughter turned 5 in Aug and anything and everything sets off her crying.  You could even say that she is afraid of her own shadow.  I know that I'm not doing something right...at least I'm not making it easier for her.   I'm at my wits end.  I don't know what to do or say to make her better.  If you find anything helpful, I would appreciate knowing what you did to alleviate your daughter's frustrations.  Thanks.

P.S. I'm glad that I'm not the only parent that has an overly-sensitive child.

Have there been any new Happenings in your Daughters life, a new Baby a new school a move to a new house and area?What triggers off the Crying what is happening prior to that?It seems there is an emotional problem perhaps you could check it out .

It is possible your child is overly sensitive.  One book which might be of help is "the highly sensitive child" by Elaine N. Aron.  You can find this book on-line, in bookstores or perhaps, your local library.  Googling the title of this book can also lead you some information on the internet.  I wish you the best...
