My sister doesn't focus

My sister is 4 years old. When she was 2, she started to learn her numbers in English. Now, she knows them. But, we are also trying to encourage her to learn them in Spanish. However, when we try she only repeats after we say the word. But, then after we tell her to do it by herself, she just seems lost, like if we didn't tell her nothing. She basically forgets and then she gets distracted with someting else and leaves.
We try to make some games fun so that she won't leave. But, it doesn't work.
What should my family and I do?  We are worried that she can't memorize not only numbers, but other things too.

Its very good that she is communicating effectively in one language.  I ascertain that English is the language that she is most proficient in.  I was trying to figure out if she was having a problem in terms of a language delay.  This is not the case.  As she continues to be exposed to the Spanish language via interacting with Spanish speaking persons her proficiency in that language will develop as well.  This is the natural way that we learn a language.  Best wishes...

Yes, she can communicate effectively.  But, since all of our family speak Spanish, we think that it is important for her to speak it as well.

How is her language in general.  Can she communicate effectively in one language?  Can she communicate her wants, needs and have conversations?

It is not easy for a 4 year old to learn two languages at once.  If she is able to learn the numbers in English, it means she is capable.  Don't push her too much - she is acting very normal for a 4 year old!  Continue fun games, but don't overstess about this.  She will learn in time.  If she will be entering kindergarten this year, I would concentrate on teaching her English first.  Alphabet, numbers, sounds, songs, and don't forget to have fun:)
